We don’t spend a ton of time talking about six-figure sports cars here at TTAC, but a new Porsche 911 is worth a look. The automaker recently announced the updated 2025 911 GT3, which lands with a revised suspension system, sharper styling, and improved aerodynamic bodywork.
The $224,495 – that’s just the starting price before any options – GT3 is scheduled for release in the summer of 2025. It’s powered by a 4.0-liter flat-six-cylinder engine producing 502 horsepower – good for a top speed of 195 mph and a 0-60 mph time of just over three seconds.
A new front diffuser and massaged underbody shapes help improve downforce and smooth airflow over the car’s body. The daytime running lights are now integrated with the headlight units to free up space for larger air intakes, and the rear of the car features a new diffuser shape.
This being Porsche, it’s not hard to push the car’s almost quarter-million-dollar price tag higher with options. The Touring Package deletes the fixed rear wing and adds an active rear spoiler and more underbody aero components. The automaker will also offer the Weissach Package for the first time in a GT3. The lightweight options group brings carbon fiber bodywork and other components that cut weight and improve performance.
Of course, the GT3’s final price depends completely on the dealer. Most new Porsche buyers have a hard time finding a dealer with an allocation to build a car, and those that do tend to charge dearly for the privilege.
