Honda resurrected the Passport in 2019 as a two-row light-duty off-roader, but it hasn’t seen many updates since its arrival. That’s changing for 2026 with a heavily updated SUV that sees fresh styling, an updated TrailSport trim, and a load of new accessories directly from Honda.
The 2026 Passport comes in three flavors: RTL TrailSport, and TrailSport Elite. Pricing starts in the mid-$40,000 range, and the SUV is expected to go on sale in early 2025. Honda retained the tried-and-true V6 engine for the new model year, giving the 2026 Passport a 3.5-liter V6, making 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. A ten-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels through Honda’s torque-vectoring i-VTM4 all-wheel drive system, which comes standard.
The new SUV is an inch wider than its predecessor and rides on a 2.75-inch longer wheelbase. It features a matte black section on the roof, which allows owners to lean skis and other gear against the vehicle without scratching the paint. Honda also revised the rear LED taillights and gave the Passport a new antenna integrated into the rear window.
TrailSport models get powder-coated orange front and rear tow hooks. They also get exclusive 18-inch wheels, underbody skid plates, LED foglights, and amber LED daytime running lights.
Interior updates include new body-stabilizing front seats, 1.3 inches more legroom in the second row, and leather upholstery for the RTL trim. TrailSport models get orange contrast stitching and synthetic leather upholstery, while the TrailSport Elite adds perforated leather.
Honda equips the Passport with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 54 percent larger than the outgoing screen, as standard. It runs Google Built-in and offers wireless smartphone mirroring. Mercifully, the Passport also has a handrest for more accurate interactions with the display while driving.
