While every car company’s design direction gets scrutiny, perhaps no company in the history of automotive design has been under a spotlight as much as General Motors has.
After all, this is the company that once employed Harley Earl and Bill Mitchell.
Now we have the news that GM’s Chief Designer, Michael Simcoe, is retiring, with Bryan Nesbitt set to replace him as the eighth GM design boss.
Nesbitt is currently in charge of Cadillac design.
I ask of you, if you could advise Nesbitt, what would you suggest to him in terms of styling and design? Do you like the General’s current direction or no? What about Caddy’s “Art and Science”? And so on and so forth.
