The Italian tripartite of Tonale, Stelvio, and Giulia will get a flamboyantly named special edition package for the 2025 model year.
Called the Intensa Special Series, these machines first showed their faces at this year’s Brussels Motor Show in Belgium. No powertrain or chassis modifications are mentioned, suggesting the Intensa packages are relying on their looks in order to make the grade. Hey, it’s Italian.
The Tonale crossover, which is Alfa’s best-selling nameplate, equips its Intensa with the likes of black exterior details on areas like the wheels, moldings, and exhaust tips – though the latter remain silver on the PHEV for some reason. At least there are entertaining paint colors offered, including Verde Montreal and Alfa Rosso. Inside, look for Intensa-specific details on the headrests and front center armrest along with black Alcantara seats contrasting against the two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel which has tan accents. Price is set at $44,595 or ten grand above that for the plug-in hybrid.
Looking to the Stelvio and Giulia, details are similar for this package on those models though there is the addition of Italian flags on their side mirrors. Each of the trio get the brand’s 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system equipped with a subwoofer in order to belt out Italian arias with authority. Stelvio customers will be shelling out $55,395 for an Intensa while Giulia shoppers will be looking at $49,995 plus destination for that sedan.
Through the full calendar year of 2024, the Alfa Romeo brand sold 887 vehicles in America, roughly a 20 percent decrease from the annum prior. Its plug-in Tonale PHEV was the best seller with 374 takers in addition to the 160 folks who signed up for a gasser. Only 150 people were brave enough to take a Giulia home, while the Stelvio found 250 buyers.
