Fire Country Season 3 Episode 11 Spoilers: They Slay Dragons Here, Don’t They?

It looks like Fire Country will be jumping on the campy bandwagon in the next episode.

However, I imagine, given the show’s tone, it will not be acknowledged in the show for its hilarious meta-humor.

If you haven’t seen the promo for “Fare Thee Well,” you’re likely scratching your head and asking what in the world I could be one about. Fair warning: There’s just no other way to say this without it sounding like it sounds.

On Fire Country Season 3 Episode 11, Bode Leone will slay a dragon. Let that marinate for a minute. I saw it with my own eyes, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it.

Sure, it’s super gimmicky for an episode, but a little camp humor never hurt anything. Besides, once you see the promo, the image will live rent-free in your mind forever.

Although, that may not be the only hot-headed obstacle Edgewater’s hometown hero will have to deal with in the next episode.

Fire Country Keeps the Heat Coming Whether It’s from Family, Friends, Or Fire Breathing Fiends

The first thing you hear in the promo is Bode telling Vince, “You can’t hold a family grudge against me.” Vince, being Vince, then responds, “I’m the chief. I can do what I want.”

This is exactly why so many places of work require family members who are employed by the same company to work at separate locations.

However, I can certainly understand why it would be encouraged in firefighting. Family members who work together are more likely to look out for each other, but the opposite can still be true.

Listen, if there is one thing life and Fire Country are all too good at, it’s reminding us that no relationship is quite as complicated as that of families.

It doesn’t get much more complicated than a father pulling rank on his son — unless the roles were reversed. Can you imagine Max Theriot’s (SEAL Team) Bode as the chief ordering Vince around?

On a series like Fire Country, any and all kinds of drama are possible. If you’d rather go toe to toe with a dragon than your dad, raise your hand.

I’ll take Fire Breathing Lizards for three hundred, Pat.

We Can’t Say Fire Country Doesn’t Like to Keep Things Interesting and Fresh with Its Cases

Honestly, it’s quite the sight to see Bode barreling up to a fire-breathing animatronic dragon with a sword and shield. Oh, did I forget to mention Bode goes full Beowulf at an amusement park attraction?

While Fire Country is no stranger to exaggerating an episodic plot, the series usually goes for more disastrous than silly — and what I just described can only be classified as silly.

That said, I HAVE to see how this goes down. The last time the team dealt with anything close to an amusement park was in Fire Country Season 1 Episode 14.

That was the episode in which a carnival ride malfunctioned and spun so fast that a boy was thrown from it. Oh, and Rebecca and Bode became real friends before she died in the next episode.

In the promo, a disembodied voice can be heard saying, “We are under fire from a malfunctioning flamethrower.”

At least the series is consistent. Does anyone else think Edgewater is just asking for trouble by having a flame-throwing mechanical dragon anywhere even close to that town?

They get the news there, right?

I’m Sorry, But They Brought WHAT to the Town of Edgewater?

The official synopses for CBS‘s Fire Country Season 3 Episode 11 reads, “The crew responds to a call from the local renaissance fair after a fire-breather loses their balance and sets off a tent filled with fireworks.”

Who in their right mind would ever bring fireworks to the tree and woods-infested area of Edgewater, California? That town really needs some kind of ban on explosive material.

Is this the Renaissance Fair’s first time coming through the area? Did they not get the memo that everything in a fifty-mile radius goes up in flames every time there is an errant ember in the air?

Oh, well. At least it will be incredibly entertaining to watch. Plus, I bet deep down, every firefighter has wondered if they could stand up to mythology’s most popular type of reptile.

How else would we get Bode and Leven Rambin’s (The Path) Audrey, each strapped with a knight’s shield?

One Thing Fire Country Excels at Is Packing as Much as It Can into Every Episode

I haven’t been to the Renaissance Festival since I was a teen, but it’s not for a lack of trying. I just always forget to check the dates in advance.

Backtracking, can anyone tell me if Ren Fairs sells fire-resistant shields? That’s the only reason I can think of for Bode and Audrey to rock medieval wares. At least they look badass.

I’d like to say that Bode’s knighthood could possibly impress Audrey, but she doesn’t seem like the kind of woman who goes for that sort of thing. I’d imagine she’d find that cheesy as hell.

It doesn’t matter, though, because it will be another case of them working side by side, making more memories and growing even closer together.

I know a lot of you are still holding out hope for Bode and Gabriela no matter what the case may be.

I don’t think that’s a bad mindset, regardless of my comment on Fire Country Season 3 episode 10.

Still, you have to admit that Audrey is a good time and has that sharp wit that keeps the dialogue interesting. Not to mention, she has a knack for making Bode smile.

Look, this isn’t about Audrey versus Gabriela. At the end of the day, it’s about Bode making the right choices for his future.

Lord knows Stephanie Arcila’s (Penny Dreadful: City of Angels)Miss Perez is definitely on that journey and I am loving it.

Should Gabriela and Bode end up back together down the road, they will be far better off having taken the time to invest back into themselves.

Besides, Bode’s plate is full, helping his family deal with Walter’s recent illness, which seems to be dementia. There wasn’t any mention of it in the description or promo for “Fare Thee Well,” but that hardly means much.

One thing Fire Country excels at is packing as much drama as possible into a single episode. Thank goodness for recaps.

So, fire-breathing dragons and errant fireworks, huh? Where’s Harry Potter or Bard the Bowman when you need them?
