Due to the size of our market, automakers often lavish American buyers with limited-edition models, but Toyota isn’t playing that game with the upcoming Supra A90 Final Edition. The final hoorah for the fifth-generation car will be sold in extremely limited quantities, though none of them are expected to reach the United States.
Toyota will build just 300 Supra A90 Final Editions, which get a significant power boost over the standard car, up to 429 horsepower. It also gets a host of aerodynamic and chassis refinements. Initial rumors pointed to it wearing a GRMN badge, which is how Toyota identifies the rowdiest road cars in its catalog.
The Final Edition’s power bump comes from an upgraded intake and exhaust, which includes an Akropovic titanium muffler and additional cooling features. The car comes only with a six-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. Brembo brakes, a Supra GT4-inspired suspension system, and a GT4 rear subframe give it more agility, and the wheel camber is adjusted for better grip. Toyota equips 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Cabin upgrades include carbon fiber seats with red Alcantara upholstery and accents throughout. While we’re not getting the car itself, Toyota has confirmed that some of those upgrades will make their way into the American-market Supra as added-cost options.
