Ford Custom Garage Program Debuts 700hp V8 F-150

Just as news broke Ford would be idling F-150 Lightning production for the remainder of the year; the brand also announced a new supercharged V8 F-150.

The new Ford Custom Garage program is a modern OEM take personalizing your vehicle. Custom Garage bundles up parts and accessories in pre-packaged upgrades, all dealer-installed and backed by a full warranty. The highlight is the F-150 FP700S, a single-cab, supercharged, muscle truck.

Never mind the Raptor, the FP700S crowns the F-150’s 5.0L V8 with a 3.0L Ford Performance Whipple supercharger boosting output to 700 horsepower and 590 pounds-feet of torque. Also joining are a new cat-back exhaust, fender vent kit, and lowering springs. All that muscle will be fed exclusively to the rear wheels tapping into some serious SVT nostalgia—too bad Ford already resurrected the '90s Lightning nameplate for an electric truck it can't seem to sell.

Ford didn't offer exact pricing details for the FP700S but did say all Custom Garage packages will MSRP above $5,200.

Other Ford Custom Garage packs will focus on the Bronco and Bronco Sport. The first offerings under this new program are the Matte Black and Sinister Bronze packages for the big Bronco.

The packages both include a 2-inch lift suspension kit from Ford Performance Parts, boosting ground clearance and enhancing its “prowess.” Each package also includes five 17 x 8.5-inch custom wheels—complete with matching spare and black lug nuts—along with special grille letter caps, badges, and a smoked Ford oval that gives the front end a unique look. Extended fender flares round out the exterior updates, paired with an updated spare tire carrier to handle the larger wheels and tires. The kits also come with a calibration tool to keep the Bronco's performance tuning in sync with the modified suspension and larger wheels.

Ford will also show a pair of Wild Fund concept projects which could preview future Custom Garage packages for both the Bronco and Bronco Sport. Lastly, Ford also brought an F-150 ORC project truck which outfits a standard 2024 F-150 XLT FX4 with Ford Performance ORV components.

The packages will be available shortly through your local Ford store.
