Ford Targeting Jeep Owners With Latest SUV Discounts

Ford has been piling discounts on the Explorer SUV in an effort to maintain high sales. Dealers are now reportedly willing to further sweeten the pot, in the hopes of poaching Jeep owners, by throwing another $2,000 on the hood.

While the Explorer still does good business for Blue Oval, as one of the brand’s best-selling vehicles, volumes have declined in recent years. As of December, Ford is reportedly willing to offer a maximum of $4,000 off 2025 model year Explorers to help offset a slower sales period. However, Ford Authority has likewise reported that dealers are willing to add another $2,000 in Conquest Cash for select markets for Jeep owners.

From Ford Authority:

In December 2024, a Ford Explorer discount offers up to $4,000 off the refreshed 2025 Ford Explorer, FoMoCo’s best-selling utility, along with low-interest financing and lease deals.

Additionally, The Blue Oval offers $2,000 Conquest Cash in select markets for Jeep owners and lessees. Trade-in or lease termination is not required.

Our advice is to contact the dealer before even setting foot outside your door. While these discounts are indeed juicy, they’re often used as a way to lure people into the dealership and vary between regions. It would be a waste of your time to head out to your local Ford retailer just to learn that they aren’t offering the relevant discounts. Automakers will also frequently tie these deals to their own financing departments, which could be a bad play if you’ve got a bank or credit union willing to give you better rates.

In this instance, some of the sweetest Explorer discounts are indeed tied to Ford Credit and 5.9-percent APR. The deals are also only eligible for buyers who take delivery before January 2nd, 2025.

Ford Authority has a list of Explorers deals, broken down by comparisons between Detroit, New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. Available incentives vary and are by no means limited to these specific markets. Again, it’s better to check with the store in advance and hold them to it once you’ve arrived on site.

With the base Ford Explorer starting around $40,000, the above incentives could position it to be significantly more competitive against other midsize SUVs as it’s getting a little long in the tooth. As a bonus, Ford gets to kick Jeep while it’s down and the industry is always a lot more fun when the automakers are actually competing against each other.
