Genesis Announces the Refreshed 2026 GV70 and Electrified GV70

The Genesis GV70 is one of the most eye-catching and value-packed SUVs in its segment, and it’s getting an update for the 2026 model year. Genesis’ most popular vehicle will receive updated styling, new technology, and more, but will retain its two powertrain choices.

While Genesis offers an electrified GV70, the SUV’s two gas engine options carryover into 2026. The base mill is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder making 300 horsepower and the available twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 makes a healthy 375. A new Terrain Mode comes standard, giving the GV70 better performance in mud, sand, and snow.

The new GV70 gets a fresh grille design and new headlights with the automaker’s multi-lens array tech. Electrified models hide their charge port behind the grille, and Genesis equips a heating element to prevent the charge port door from freezing shut in cold weather.

A new 27-inch OLED display comes standard, housing the gauge cluster and infotainment system. Genesis will offer a Bang and Olufsen 16-speaker stereo and tri-zone climate controls, and it improved the vehicle’s voice commands with more control over functions like the climate system and windows.

Genesis hasn’t detailed pricing for the new SUV yet, but more information will become available closer to the vehicle’s launch in early 2025. Buyers should expect a slight bump over the 2025 model’s $45,700 price tag, and the Electrified GV70 will likely climb closer to $70,000 to start.
