Nostalgia sells cars just as much as sex sells almost everything else. Ford knows this, and to capitalize on the mentality, it’s rolling out yet another retro-themed Bronco model. The Free Wheeling appearance package is a throwback to the 1970s and 80s, when Ford released sunset rainbow-themed graphics for trucks, SUVs, and vans.
The Free Wheeling package is available for the 2025 Bronco Big Bend. It adds gloss-black 17-inch wheels, unique interior finishes that carry the rainbow theme, and vinyl/cloth upholstery. The options group is available with the Sasquatch package, which adds beefier off-road components.
Ford’s vehicle personalization chief designer, Steve Gilmore, said, “Bronco has always been about fun and capability since day one and Free Wheeling’s looks kick that up a notch with its sunset inspired beach vibes. We’ve modernized the new Bronco Free Wheeling in line with today’s fashion and graphic trends, including seats that mimic the color palette of the exterior stripes and unique pops of color that come together in an optimistic way.”
Ford hasn’t released pricing for the 2025 Bronco or the new Free Wheeling package yet, but it said the SUV would be available in January. Buyers can also pick up Free Wheeling-themed clothing and accessories, including T-shirts, hats, water bottles, keychains, and more.
