Jeremy Clarkson Describes Frightening Heart-Related Health Issue

To say that Jeremy Clarkson has had a tremendous impact on automotive media would be the understatement of the century, but even his most diehard fans are hard-pressed to find anything particularly healthy about his lifestyle. Clarkson’s health recently caught up with him during a vacation, but it appears the presenter is largely out of the woods for now.

Clarkson reported his troubles in his column for The Sunday Times newspaper, saying, “I had to take a moment to make sure my limbs were working properly.” He described problems traversing stairs and having difficulty swimming but ultimately ignored its symptoms while on holiday.

When he returned, the situation deteriorated, leading Clarkson to the hospital for emergency surgery. He was able to avoid bypass surgery but needed a stent and described the odd feeling as doctors shoved tools into his veins to work on his heart.

Clarkson, 64, has said his physical condition and age were primary drivers for ending The Grand Tour and focusing on projects closer to home, such as Clarkson’s Farm and his new pub. Despite that, he’s remained surprisingly busy, penning car reviews for British newspapers and writing a new book about his experiences owning a farm. Additionally, he and the crew have kicked off production of the fourth season of his farm show, so there’s no shortage of Clarkson content for the foreseeable future.
