Apple has released new firmware for older AirPods models, but there isn’t any information about what is contained in the update.
Tuesday’s firmware update increases the build number to 6F21, up from the previous version which was 6A326. It is only compatible with the original AirPods Pro, AirPods 2, AirPods 3, and the lightning-equipped variant of the AirPods Max.
While the exact contents of the firmware update are unclear, the software likely includes various bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements rather than new features, as the update is intended for older hardware.
