Porsche’s already staggeringly expansive 911 lineup is growing in 2025. The new 911 Carrera S Coupe and Cabriolet are due this year, bringing a power boost and even more options and configuration choices.
The big story with the new Carrera S is its power upgrade, which boosts the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter engine’s output to 473 horsepower and 390 pounds of torque, a 30-horsepower bump over the previous model. That improvement comes thanks to new turbos and upgraded cooling, and Porsche said the car can make the 0-60 mph run in just over three seconds.
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes and Active Suspension Management are available, along with rear-axle steering. Inside, the new car gets more leather, and, like other 911 models, buyers can option a back seat at no cost. The Cabriolet model has four seats and cannot ditch the back row.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a Porsche without a novel’s worth of customization options. The Carrera S is available with a full leather interior, and buyers can gain access to 48 different color combinations using Porsche’s Exclusive Manufaktur Leather option.
Pricing for the Carrera S Coupe starts at $148,395, including a $1,995 destination charge. The Cabriolet starts at $161,595, but few will leave the factory without at least a few thousand in added-cost options and upgrades. Both cars are due on dealers’ lots this Spring.
