Power Book III: Raising Kanan Exclusive Sneak Peek: Kanan Makes a Decision About His Future

When we first meet Kanan Stark on Power Book III: Raising Kanan, he was a top student and well on his way to making it out of Queens.

But that wasn’t the path Kanan chose to travel down. Instead, he committed his life to the game.

In this exclusive sneak peek from Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 4 Episode 3, Kanan makes a decision about his future, and it’s one that will no longer include tests and research papers.

Kanan has always been incredibly smart. Both book smart and street smart.

He could have chosen any path, but he decided long ago to follow in the family’s footsteps.

As his relationship with Raq has deteriorated, he’s wanted to be his own man, make his own money, and answer to himself.

School, with the homework and papers and tests, really gets in the way of running a prominent drug dealing operation.

Kanan and Raq used to be thick as thieves, but you can see how strained things are when they get moments alone to talk about things outside the business.

Where Kanan used to look at Raq with genuine love and reverence, it often feels like he’s looking at a stranger.

It’s as if he no longer sees the mother who raised him and with whom he was once closer than anyone.

She has been replaced with a woman who lied to him, asked him to do unspeakable things, and ultimately lost all his affection and respect.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3 Raq would have pushed Kanan more about his decision to give up on his education, but Raq is taking a different approach this season.

Where she used to fight and try to get through to Kanan through reason, she seems almost defeated.

Or, at the very least, uninterested in fighting a losing battle, as she seems to have accepted their relationship will never be what it once was.

While the battle between mother and son will seemingly never end elsewhere, we’ll see Unique’s continued rampage as his revenge tour around the city continues.

(Starz/Screenshot )

We’re now a few weeks into the season, and everyone still believes Unique is dead, but just how long will that last?

When will he be ready to make his triumphant return to the living?

His revenge plan has him sparing no one, and we should be worried about everyone because Unique isn’t in a reasonable mood these days.

Aside from Unique, we’ll also see Lou-Lou back in his element, producing music and Jukebox figuring out what comes next for her now that she’s ditched the Army and no longer has the girl group in her sights.

Might this be the shift in Jukebox we’ve been waiting to see?

Time will tell, of course.

It looks to be another exciting and busy hour of the hit series, so while you wait for it to premiere, check out the sneak peek below!
