Does that excite you?
For me, I am cautiously excited — more relatively affordable compact sports cars is a good thing, especially if there is an available manual transmission.
That said, automakers love to put iconic names on vehicles that don't seem to fit the moniker. That seems unlikely here, but one never knows.
It's also possible that a new Celica sports car might just not be very good. Again, unlikely — Toyota has shown over the past five years that it can build very competitive sports machines.
So what say you? Ready for the return of the Celica?
