The 2025 Lexus GX Gets a Couple New Features and a Slight Price Bump

The 2024 Lexus GX marked a significant step forward for the beefy luxury SUV, as it was the model’s first generational overhaul since 2010. Lexus is making further improvements for 2025, though they come with a slight price bump over the outgoing model.

The 2025 GX 550 Premium starts at $65,285 including a $1,350 destination charge, which is just over $1,000 more than the 2024 model. The midrange Luxury trim starts at $77,750 after destination, while the range-topping Overtrail+ costs $80,395 before options. All models are expected to land on dealers’ lots early in 2025.

That extra cash buys a couple of newly standard features, including a memory system for the steering column and seats for all trims and a one-inch suspension lift for both Overtrail variants, bringing their minimum running ground clearance to 9.84 inches.

All GX trims come with a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6, which makes 349 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. That output reaches all four wheels through a ten-speed automatic transmission. Lexus rates most trims’ towing capacity at 9,063 pounds, but the Overtrail trim can tow three additional pounds.

Standard tech features include a 14-inch high-definition touchscreen with cloud navigation, voice commands, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, remote and cloud app features, a digital key system, and more. Lexus thankfully updated its infotainment interface prior to the new GX’s release, making it far easier to use and more responsive.
