The Irrational Season 2 Episode 3 Spoilers Pit Alec And Rose Against Each Other!

Whoa! You don’t have to be a hockey fan to be excited about The Irrational Season 3 Episode 2 spoilers about a case involving the sport.

Alec’s newest job is to prove a woman murdered her hockey rival, but it won’t be easy.

He’s dealing with a crisis management team led by someone he knows very well. Alec prides himself on his ability to bypass emotional urges, but when he and Rose are on opposite sides, will he be the one to become irrational?

The Irrational Season 2 Episode 3 Spoilers Say Alec Doesn’t Expect To Run Into Rose

The Irrational Season 2 Episode 3 will be a different type of case for Alec, and part of that has to do with Rose.

The case revolves around the death of a hockey player who is also a rising star on Wall Street, fitting the profile of a victim that many people had a reason to kill.

But this one isn’t a whodunit. The question is whether the player who killed her deliberately eliminated their competition.

Alec’s job will be to prove that it’s murder, and it will take all of his skills to do it, especially given the plot twist that Rose is working on crisis management for the player that caused the woman’s death.

Rose’s job is to prove that it was an accident, which pits her and Alex against each other yet forces them to work together.

An exclusive NBC teaser clip details their first meeting, and it’s awkward.

What Does This Situation Mean For Alec And Rose’s Relationship?

Alec and Rose didn’t interact in The Irrational Season 2 Episode 2 after they were rescued at the end of Episode 1, so it isn’t clear where their relationship stands.

Rose had pushed Alec away after her kidnapping as she copes with trauma by isolating herself, and the two clearly have not spoken much since.

Alec is surprised to see Rose, suggesting he had no idea she was doing crisis management work. Of course, he can’t tell the suspect that this is his girlfriend (or ex-girlfriend, as it seems may be the case).

(NBC/James Dittiger)

Although the usual TV trope is for ex-lovers who are working on the opposite sides of a case to be at each other’s throats for the entire episode (unless they get trapped together!), this story might bring Alec and Rose closer.

The Irrational Season 2 Episode 3 spoilers suggest that the two will investigate together despite being on opposite sides.

The photos don’t make it clear whether they keep running into each other at the same places, but it’s more likely that they decide they might as well investigate together despite their disagreement about what the outcome will be.

Logically, the facts are the same no matter what their beliefs are about the suspect’s guilt or innocence. So they might as well gather them together and see whose interpretation is correct.

(NBC/James Dittiger)

If so, this is a refreshing change from the usual police procedural trope in which lovers are put on opposite sides for the sake of drama, or one side tries to stop the other from getting relevant facts.

The photos also suggest Rose and Alec will have some fun while investigating the case, as they will visit what appears to be a karaoke bar.

Alec’s Interns Do A Curious Experiment

The Irrational Season 2 Episode 3 spoilers also point to Rizwan and Simon doing some new experiments with Alec’s students.

While it’s not entirely clear, it looks like Rizwan challenges Simon to a race.

Spoiler photos have the two of them talking in what looks like the school cafeteria, Simon in a race car, and Rizwan and Simon standing by the finish line with a green flag.

Alec’s lectures and demonstrations in class always have to do with the case at hand, so this “race” scenario has to have something to do with the way competition affects perception or how being overly competitive can trigger violent urges.

(NBC/James Dittiger)

The experiment and its results often give Alec the insight he needs to crack the case, and the competition between Simon and Rizwan seems designed to do just that!

The Irrational Season 2 Episode 3 Spoilers Suggest Phoebe Is Working With The FBI

When we left off, Phoebe was disturbed to find out that the paper she helped Ava with was really a ghostwriting project and that Rachel was taking most of the credit for it.

Oddly, spoiler photos have Phoebe going to Marisa and Kylie with some type of concern. Marisa seems bemused at first, but another photo has Phoebe riding along with Marisa and an FBI tech.

It’s not clear where the police procedural is going with this, but since Kylie is a computer expert, Phoebe may want her help with something related to the Rachel situation.

(NBC/James Dittiger)

It’s hard to tell what, though. Having students ghostwrite papers isn’t illegal.

Unfortunately, academia is full of people who take credit for their interns’ hard work, and while there are ethical questions about that, it isn’t a matter for the FBI.

Phoebe might be concerned about the contents of the paper and what it’s being used for.

Perhaps she has evidence that Rachel is using AI in a manner that violates federal law, though this still doesn’t seem like an FBI issue as much as an FTC one.

Whatever the actual reason is, it should be fun for Phoebe to work with Marisa and Kylie. She’s never interacted with them outside of her job with Alec, so this will be interesting.
