The beautiful Scottish countryside has been host to The Traitors for three seasons, but the energy has shifted in the castle on The Traitors Season 3. My best theory is that there’s something in the water.
It’s the only way I can comprehend the nonsense that transpired on The Traitors Season 3 Episode 6. Despite its flaws, I couldn’t look away for a single minute.
Producers have gone to the ends of the earth to assemble a cast of reality TV titans, and they’re serving too much for my liking.
SPOILERS AHEAD! If you haven’t watched The Traitors Season 3 Episode 6, turn back now!
The Traitors has always been a strategic format, so it’s disconcerting that so many names were thrown around at the round table.
Split Votes Are A Big Issue for the Faithful
At this point in the competition, votes should be unanimous to showcase unity amongst the Faithful. Sadly, no one can stick together this season, and it’s ebbing away at what was once a flawless structure.
We’ll start with Wes because what even was that?

Wes is a proven polarizing personality, and if his two decades on The Challenge are anything to go on, this is the kind of game he should have avoided.
The delusion that spread around the table after his threat to the people who voted for him was nuts.
Wes knows how to ruffle feathers, and it wouldn’t have been the same Wes we met on his prior reality TV stints if he hadn’t tried to shake things up.
We’d have gotten a different outcome if Wes had been more on Derrick’s side throughout the round table. Wes thought he was sitting pretty, but all he had to do was be more receptive to Derrick’s words and add some fuel to the fire.
Aligning with the right people on The Traitors can be very beneficial, and Wes didn’t ride for Derrick in the round table as he should have.
Wes knew how dangerous Boston Rob was in these games, so he should have been more prepared to discredit everything he said.

Wes would like to think he’s the best strategist, but most of his success on The Challenge stemmed from winning competitions. Sure, he did have some strategic moments, but The Traitors wasn’t the show for him.
You could tell he was seething when he flipped the middle finger and yelled expletives at everyone after he was banished. The only positive about his banishment is that we’ll get a lot of Derrick.
From an outside perspective, Derrick’s tenacity in proving that Rob is a Traitor is fascinating.
There’s a lot to love about someone who’s so analytical in their everyday lives that they can read these situations and create hypotheses grounded in reality, complete with a strong foundation.
Derrick knows Rob’s competitive resume speaks for itself. With those two and Wes comprising the three late additions to the game, Derrick knows the odds are that Rob is a Traitor.

The Big Brother alum’s argument about Rob was airtight and should have successfully banished him from the castle. Consequently, the Faithful are playing just as bad a game as the Traitors.
Derrick is here to play checkers, and I’m not sure what the others are playing, but they’re not up to the challenge.
There may be too much mess for this game to regain focus, for the season goes down the toilet.
Britney Can Kiss Goodbye To Her Game
Britney had a rapport with Derrick earlier in the season because they must have a history, as they both appeared on Big Brother. If Derrick made it to the end before this installment, I would have put money on Britney being right there by his side.
So, what went wrong? Derrick had a theory Britney didn’t like. Britney yelling across the table at Dylan to warn him not to vote with Derrick was the ultimate f— you to her so-called ally.

I don’t see Britney being able to bounce back from this, but she could if Rob is banished next, and it opens her eyes that Derrick has his head screwed on correctly.
She could apologize to Derrick, but I don’t think he’ll want her around because of his gut instinct that she’s a Traitor after her actions. It’s crazy how one wrong move in this game can put you in harm’s way, but that’s all part of the fun.
Speaking of wrong moves, it’s a miracle all three Traitors emerged unscathed from the round table. They are playing abhorrent games and never escaping the fact that they’re the worst in the series’ history.
Danielle is handling this game terribly, and I can only imagine she’s comparing it too much to Big Brother, so I understand why she’s planting seeds about Carolyn.
That would work if The Traitors took place over the course of a summer because people want someone to blame as the weeks go by.

The Traitors has a drastically condensed filming schedule, so the bonds aren’t as tightly woven on this show.
The Worst Group of Traitors Strike Again
Danielle should have tried to do some damage control after she and Carolyn had it out in the Turret because that was the only way forward for them.
Carolyn has been playing this spectacular under-the-radar game so far, and the tears were a nice touch at the round table, but something tells me that entering her villain era will be her undoing.

It’s only a matter of time before Danielle self-destructs because she’s racking up enemies at every opportunity. Still, Carolyn’s game could implode faster if she’s as dead set on this collision course with Danielle.
The back and forth between the pair in the Turret was mesmerizing because it highlighted how these three have destroyed the season.
How do we come back from such a wild cliffhanger?
Rob doesn’t look like he wants to work with either of them, but if he joins forces with Carolyn, those two may have all the power over those who oppose them.
I can’t fathom where things will go next, but I’ll be seated when The Traitors Season 3 Episode 7 drops on Peacock.

Observations from The Turret:
- Dolores firing back at Tom was perfection. Tom’s rabid theories while sulking about the castle sporting sweat patches are not a good look, but it’s hilarious that no one thinks he has the skill to be a Traitor.
- Is Chrishell a Boston Rob fanatic or something? She was presented with A+ theories and somehow thought Wes was bad.
- Is anyone else not feeling the competitions this season? They lack any real stakes because the murders are not as exciting as the round table.
What are your thoughts on the latest installment? Is the game moving in the wrong direction?
Let’s discuss it in the comments, but let’s keep it mess-free. I’ve had enough.
