The Traitors Season 3 Episode 10 Concludes With Pointless Cliffhanger Ahead of Finale

Do you know what’s frustrating about an established game show format?

When producers stray from said format because the series’ trajectory is not what they envisioned.

That’s precisely what happened with The Traitors Season 3 Episode 10, which featured some of the biggest eye rolls of the season and then some.

The bubble has burst, and my excitement for the finale is non-existent.

Let’s start at the end because that roundtable was the biggest non-event in Traitors history.

Danielle schemes on The Traitors.

Danielle vs. Gabby is one of the most bizarre and painful feuds to date because they play very different games.

Danielle is looking for someone to throw the heat on to, while Gabby is willing to bring it if it means banishing a Traitor.

The End is Night for The Traitors Season 3

At this point in the game, it’s life-and-death because if any Traitors make it to the end undetected, they stand a much greater chance of winning the grand prize.

Danielle has proven wishy-washy throughout The Traitors Season 3, so it’s surprising she’s made it this far.

Britney and Tom on The Traitors Season 3.

And she’ll make it even further if the cliffhanger is to be believed. Britney previously burned Danielle on Big Brother: Reindeer Games, but the two worked through that on The Traitors.

Can we believe Britney will be the swing vote to send her Big Brother ally packing?

The fact that production made it a cliffhanger speaks volumes about how they view the season as a whole.

Last season, Phaedra Parks’s fate in the game was left up in the air for a week, but this season, she was far more entertaining than any of the cast.

Ivar and Dolores on The Traitors Season 3.
(Euan Cherry/Peacock)

I’m still trying to understand how we went from The Traitors’ Season 2 to this. Ultimately, I wouldn’t mind the current season becoming lost media.

Every time I think there are redeeming qualities, something happens that infuriates me more than anything.

Danielle recruiting Britney was predictable, but that’s on-brand for Danielle at this point.

The good news is that Britney went straight to work to try to keep Danielle in the game. I think she may have initially won some support from Ivar because of her reaction to the thought of putting her friend out of the game.

If Danielle makes it to the season finale, there’s a good chance that Britney will win because Danielle will take all the heat.

That said, the duo could have easily kept Tom in the mix to throw under the bus as a Traitor because there were so many fantastic arguments for him being one.

The Tom Sandoval Diss from Alan Was Comical

But Alan’s shade about the show being the only time the Vanderpump Rules alum was faithful had me cackling for dear life.

Dolores was well and truly on the anti-Tom train, and she would have voted for him to be banished.

(Peacock/Screenshot)

I don’t doubt for one minute that she would have been able to wrangle even more votes, too, which would have been a win for Britney and Danielle.

It would have also avoided Dolores randomly throwing Ivar’s name into the mix at the round table, in what can only be described as a life vest for Danielle.

Another big problem was the Seer twist. I don’t mind shaking up the game if it enhances the format, but the twist deviates from the tried-and-tested format of the first two seasons.

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it, and all that jazz, but it’s transparent producers are looking for a quick fix to up the stakes and remove predictability from the finale.

(Peacock/Screenshot)

The Traitors have been known to alter the script and reshape alliances, but the overall format should remain intact.

It strikes me as the kind of twist thrown into a game show that has gone stale, but the problem with this season harkens back to the casting.

It would have been better if Chanel Ayan and Dorinda Medley advanced further into the game. Still, this season has proven that the more heightened personalities are a crucial element of the show’s success.

There’s no getting around that, and the hope is that the Traitors producers take note and work through those issues for Season 4.

With just one episode left, I boldly predict that Gabby and Dylan will emerge as the winners of The Traitors Season 3.

The Traitors Lost Too Many Good Personalities Early On

If Ivar goes, the only other person they can point to is Danielle, and, by extension, Britney, which would allow them to steamroll the last hurdle and secure the winnings.
