The Traitors Season 3 Trailer Promises More Reality Stars Are Ready to Stab Each Other In the Back!

If there’s one thing we can count on, it’s that people are inherently self-centered and out for themselves.

Oh, come on! I mean on The Traitors, not you and me!

Let’s see what we can expect.

Peacock released the trailer and key art for Season 3 of the Emmy Award-winning competition reality series this morning.

Returning January 9 at 9/8c with a three-episode premiere event, the series is hosted by Emmy Award winner Alan Cumming.

Following the three-episode premiere, new episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays at 9/8c, with the finale and reunion set for March 6 on Peacock.

For those of you hoping that reality TV in any incarnation was on its way out, well, The Traitors proves otherwise.

The Traitors Season 2 became the #1 unscripted series in the U.S. across all streaming platforms during launch week, according to Nielsen.

The Traitors also received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations, winning Outstanding Reality-Competition Program and Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program for host Alan Cumming.

All of those accolades came after The Traitors Season 1 had already taken home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program.

But what is The Traitors, exactly?

It’s a nail-biting psychological adventure in which treachery and deceit are the name of the game. What true TV Fanatic doesn’t love treachery and deceipt?

The industry’s hottest reality stars gather together with host Alan Cumming at an ancient castle set deep in the Scottish Highlands to work together on a series of exhilarating missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000.

Hidden amongst the Faithful are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves.

Under the cover of darkness, the Traitors murder the Faithful one by one in a treacherous spree while the Faithful try to uncover the Traitors and banish them from the game.

If the Faithful contestants banish all the Traitors, they will share the prize fund, but if a Traitor (or Traitors) makes it to the end, they will steal all the money. Bwah ha ha ha ha!!!

NBC will air the first two episodes of The Traitors season 3 on January 20 at 8/7c and 9:30 ET. The first and second seasons are also available to binge on Peacock.

And as if that were not enough, Peacock recently announced The Traitors Experience, an immersive, competitive game-play experience pop-up in Los Angeles.

Sure, you need to be an LA resident, but maybe you can add it to your next visit.

The experience will transport attendees into the series’ Scottish castle interior.

Fans will experience their own version of the show’s nail-biting competition as they complete a sequence of games and puzzles to determine the Traitors among their group.

You may not be able to join the celebrities in the Scottish Highlands, but if you’re nearby, you can get a small taste of what it’s like to be in their shoes.
