Used Car of the Day: 1986 Ford Mustang GT

Today's used car of the day is a bit personal to me, since the 1986 Ford Mustang GT my dad bought when I was six years old has a lot to do with my car enthusiasm. Oh, and the seller grew up not far from my father — so coincidences abound, at least for me.

His was much different than the one featured here — he kept it pretty stock. That said, it had t-tops, just like this one.

Anyway, this one is one of those Fox bodies that has been modded over the years, and features include a Tremec tko600 manual transmission, a “fresh” — I take that to mean rebuilt — 302 engine, 3.55 gearing, trickflow headers, and more.

The car is for sale in Danbury, Connecticut, with the seller trying to figure out a fair asking price. Click here to see more.

As for me, the next time I see my dad I am going to give some more fresh guff for selling his GT two short years before I became a licensed driver.
