“What's this,” you ask. “A Dodge Dart? How is that an interesting choice for used car of the day?”
My rebuttal is that I don't see a 2013 Dodge Dart with a manual transmission in the forums very often, whereas my other choices for today are all models I use often.
I was on the press launch for the reborn Dart back in the day, and I still remember thinking that the car wasn't bad, necessarily, but it wasn't going to be good enough to really challenge the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. I also remember finding the stick-shift fairly entertaining to drive, but there was a missed opportunity for true sport.
That brings us to today's car — it apparently runs and drives well enough and has had a lot of maintenance done recently. It is, however, aging with cosmetic issues and nearly 200K miles.
So, bearing that in mind, I see what could be a cheap commuter car or perhaps a first car for your teen — if your teen can drive a stick.
