Well, Hearties, the When Calls the Heart Season 12 finale is almost here, and it looks like it will be full of romance and drama for Hope Valley.
The spoilers for When Calls the Heart Season 12 Episode 12 tease that the town celebrates Angela, Emily, and Timmy’s graduation, and Elizabeth contemplates her plans.
The town also plans a surprise for Minnie. That could have something to do with Angela’s graduation.
Meanwhile, Lucas and Edie hunt for the gold, only to find Bill, Rosemary, and Nathan on the same mission.
It’s Graduation Day in Hope Valley, and Many of Elizabeth’s Students Could Move On
Much of When Calls the Heart Season 12 has revolved around Elizabeth’s older students finding their purpose, especially now that many will graduate this episode.
It’ll be a massive celebration since Elizabeth has worked hard to prepare them for college and their plans.
We can’t wait to see their final projects since Elizabeth spent so much time on project-based learning and community improvement.
We haven’t heard if Angela is still attending the Schwartzman School since the Canfields visited it in When Calls the Heart Season 12 Episode 9.
I hope they do because while Angela has learned a lot in Elizabeth’s classroom, she would thrive even more with other blind students she relates to.
This could be a double-edged sword because the series could lose some of its younger cast, and some, like Emily, have been around since the beginning.
Hopefully, Elizabeth convinced Emily that she didn’t have to become a teacher and that having a business mind was beneficial.
We’d love to see Emily continue to help Henry with his hazelnut business or assist at the mercantile.
Timmy is the only one the series hasn’t spent much time with, so we don’t know much about his plans, but we hope all three of them make some appearances if When Calls the Heart is renewed.
Elizabeth Gets a New Opportunity and Contemplates How Jack’s Illness Will Affect Their Lives
Little Jack’s diabetes diagnosis will likely alter how Elizabeth and Nathan’s everyday lives.
Even though the insulin worked initially, it was new, and Elizabeth is very protective of her son.
Therefore, she hesitates to present her new curriculum to the Education Board, even though Lucas pulled some strings after her last attempt with the Superintendent on Rosemary’s radio show.
I love that Lucas would still do anything for Elizabeth’s happiness, even if they are not together. This was a fantastic use of his connections since her curriculum would also help other teachers and students.
However, with Little Jack only starting the insulin, I understand why she’s wary of leaving him, but she’s got a community that would chip in to help, including Nathan.
She’s watched Allie many times, and now she has to trust Nathan to watch Little Jack without her.
Elizabeth is used to being independent, which will be a big step for her.
We wonder if she takes it or if she takes him with her, and something happens since one of the photos hints that the two of them are huddled together, scared.
Hopefully, this season ends with Nathan and Elizabeth in a good place. They seem to be moving towards officially becoming a family.
Lucas and Edie Find Company on Their Hunt for the Gold
Lucas also deserves a happy ending, and he might get one when Edie asks for help finding the gold at McGinty’s.
In this sneak peek, she hints that she wants to move their relationship to the next level.
Could Lucas be happy on the run, though? He’s generally lawful, so I’m unsure if he’d accept her offer.
First, they need to beat Rosemary, Bill, and Nathan to find the buried treasure, and hopefully, they will not run into McGinty again.
There is another map similar to the one the Garrison Gang had in When Calls the Heart Season 12 Episode 9. Edie recognizes it, and I can’t wait to see the significance of the Lovers Tree to the gold.
Watching all these actors together as this arc wraps up will be entertaining. You can tell they enjoy working together.
The Town Throws a Sweet Surprise for Minnie, Continuing With Community Celebrations
The town plans a sweet surprise for Minnie. We don’t know much about this, except everyone attends from the photos.
It could be to honor Minnie’s work for everyone else. She’s the first one to step in and help.
Part of this comes from being a preacher’s wife, while part is Minnie’s disposition.
Alternatively, the town could want to recognize Minnie since Angela graduated, and it’s often as hard of work on the parents as the students.
Minnie also homeschooled Angela for years, which was partly her success.
From the looks of the spoiler photos, between the graduation party and Minnie’s surprise, the entire town will be celebrating and dancing.
These are the perfect events to infuse romance into newer couples like Molly and Jed or Oliver and Allie.
Hopefully, some of them will have meaningful conversations while slowly dancing.
