The intensity keeps coming on Will Trent as the team tackles another case that will keep viewers on edge.
The spoilers and promo for Will Trent Season 3 Episode 8 hint that Will suspects he witnessed a child kidnapping in the park and investigates to find the suspect.
As the GBI digs deeper, they uncover that it’s a child trafficking case that’s more dangerous than they expected. Naturally, this only feeds into Will’s concern and guilt.
This installment also deals with two other cases, beginning with Det. Ormewood, who is providing security for Ariana Madix. We have the details on Madix’s guest-star appearance.
Scott Foley also begins his arc as Angie’s love interest. We heard several weeks ago that he first appears on Will Trent’s Season 3 Episode 8. While we don’t know much, he and Angie may meet on the road.
Lately, many of Will Trent’s cases seem similar to Law & Order: SVU. We’ve dealt with rape and murder, and now there is a child trafficking case.
While Will may suspect the little girl he saw with a strange man was kidnapped, the GBI uncovers dangerous dark secrets, leading them to think it’s a trafficking case.
Will thinks she needs his help, and he may have failed her.
They track down a suspicious man immediately, but he refuses to cooperate, which only angers and worries Will more since this little girl could be anywhere.
The race is on to identify this child and find her before she gets sold to another strange adult. Time is of the essence, and it’s all hands on deck.
While the synopsis and photos suggest that Marion helps with the case, she likely is still coping with her attack and shouldn’t be near violent suspects.
Many photos suggest that Will, Marion, and Faith had the day off in their casual clothes, and this trafficking case pulled them all in.
This could be the case that haunts both Will and Marion or pulls them closer together.
Will has always had a soft spot for helping children, especially when the cases remind him of the horrible time he spent in foster care.
He hasn’t been this affected by a child since he rescued and cared for Theo in Will Trent Season 1 Episode 10.
This case was different. He felt he failed this little girl because he saw her in the park and didn’t react immediately.
Will is human, but as noted in the promo, that is eating him alive. He likes to save everyone, but he especially likes to save children from predators.
He remembers what those monsters were like, and Will would never want an innocent little girl to suffer.
Generally, Will stays calm, but this case gets to him because he loses it on a suspect who demands answers. Nothing frustrates Will more than a dead end.
Additional spoilers hint that Det. Ormewood assists Ariana Madix with security until a routine intervention becomes violent.
Det. Ormewood isn’t as versed in security since he only picked up this gig to help pay his mortgage so his children could stay in their childhood home. It will be interesting to see how he does. Not well, apparently.
Madix breaks the fourth wall and plays herself on the popular police procedural. She needs Michael’s help, but an intervention goes horribly wrong, and her friend goes missing.
While this case is intense, Madix and Det. Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) injects some lightheartedness into it, which will be needed with the severe subject matter of the other case.
Madix brings some of her Dancing With the Stars skills to this episode. She and Michael share a dance while Madix is hunting for her friend.
We don’t want to spoil too much, but she and Jake McLaughlin were entertaining, and this was the most we have seen of Michael Ormewood so far this season.
Seeing him interact with other people and let loose will be refreshing.
And Scott Foley finally begins his arc as Seth McDale.
We don’t know much, but the weekly promo hints that he was hit by a car, and Angie stops to assist him.
When his character synopsis was released, and I read that he was a charming doctor, I assumed the two would meet at the hospital, not a crime scene involving one of them.
This might work, though. Maybe he will be more approachable since we know Angie is probably down on dating currently.
I’m curious what she’ll be like with another match since we’ve only seen Angie paired with Will.
