Zimbabwe smash 17 runs an over to shatter records in T20 World Cup qualifier rout

  • Zimbabwe, 344-4, beat the Gambia, 54, by record-breaking 290 runs
  • Sikandar Raza blasts unbeaten 133 from 43 balls in highest team total

Sikandar Raza has smashed an unbeaten 133 in 43 balls as Zimbabwe set a record innings score of 344-4 in their T20 World Cup sub-regional Africa qualifier against the Gambia. Zimbabwe then went on to skittle the Gambia and claim the largest win in the format on Wednesday.

Raza launched 15 sixes in Nairobi to score his maiden T20I century and take Zimbabwe to a new highest total in 20 overs, beating the previous best mark of 314-3 by Nepal against Mongolia last year.
